Regular Quarterly Meetings are held the 1st Friday of the month in January, April, July & October, at 8:00am; meetings are held in various locations throughout the watershed; Contact the WIC for exact location. The WIC Working group also meets monthly. All meetings are open to the public and volunteers are welcome! For Meeting Agendas, Minutes and Events, see the Wappinger Section of the Community Forum.

The WIC maintains a yahoo group listserve for members and volunteers; members of the public are encouraged to join by contacting the WIC (above). The WIC is guided by Organizational Bylaws, Organizational Goals (2007-2010), and a Watershed Management Plan. Download the WIC Brochure here.

The CCEDC Environment Program helps to build the long term capacity of watershed organizations by developing and implementing stakeholder initiatives, facilitating meetings, watershed surveys, cleanup projects, and stream assessments, providing GIS tools and maps, and working on education and outreach.

  • River Keeper Sweep

    Date: Saturday, June 2
    Location: Many locations: riverkeeper.org/sweep

    Riverkeeper has revived this Hudson Valley-wide day of service for the Hudson River. The Sweep empowers volunteers throughout the Hudson River watershed to clear garbage from trails on water and land, do outreach on important environmental issues, or to take on other meaningful service projects.   • Rain Barrel Building Workshop: Pawling
